Kayo Chingonyi is a fellow of the Complete Works programme for diversity and quality in British Poetry. His first fulllength collection, Kumukanda (Chatto & Windus, 2017) was a Guardian and Telegraph book of the year and won the Swansea University International Dylan Thomas Prize. Kayo was an Anthony Burgess Fellow at the Centre for New Writing, University of Manchester, and an Associate Poet at The Institute of Contemporary Arts, London. He is Poetry Editor for The White Review and an Assitant Professor of Creative Writing at Durham University. Kayo is also an emcee, producer and DJ and regularly collaborates with musicians and composers both as a poet and a lyricist.
