Krystyna Dąbrowska (b. 1979) is a poet, translator, and essayist. She graduated from the Graphics Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is the author of the poetry books Biuro podróży (Travel Agency, 2006), Białe krzesła (White Chairs, 2012), Czas i przesłona (Time and Aperture, 2014). Her second collection won the Kościelski Award (2013) and the Wisława Szymborska Award (2013). Her poems have been translated into English, German, Italian (La faccia del mio vicino, Valigie Rosse 2017), Spanish, Russian, Swedish, Greek, French, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Chinese. Her translations include the poetry of W. C. Williams, W. B. Yeats, Thomas Hardy, Thom Gunn, Charles Simic, Kim Moore, as well as selected letters of Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell. She also translated two early satires of Jonathan Swift (The Battle of the Books; A Tale of a Tub, 2013) and The Thirteen Petalled Rose: A Discourse on the Essence of Jewish Existence and Belief by Adin Steinsaltz (2014).
She lives and works in Warsaw.
