She graduated from the Vilnius Pedagogical University with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Lithuanian philology and a master\u2019s degree in literature. Jasponyt\u0117 currently works at a library in Vilnius. She has participated in literary events and festivals in Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Belgium. Her poetry has been translated into Latvian, English, Ukrainian, Belarusian, German, and Italian. Jasponyt\u0117 is the author of three poetry books: <em>\u0160altup\u0117<\/em> (Cold River, 2014, recipient of the Zigmas G\u0117l\u0117 Prize), <em>Vartai Au\u0161trieji<\/em> (The Sharp Gates, 2019, recipient of the Vladas \u0160laitas Prize), and <em>Visata atsis\u0117da netinkamoje vietoje<\/em> (The Universe Settles in the Wrong Place, 2024).<\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jurgita Jasponyt\u0117 gim\u0117 1981\u00a0m.
