She is a graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, earning her bachelor and master\u2019s degrees in monumental painting before pursuing a doctorate and receiving the title Doctor of Arts in 2022. Bagdonait\u0117\u2019s debut in poetry came after she won the First Book contest organized by the Lithuanian Writers\u2019 Union with her manuscript for the book <em>M\u0117lynojo banginio \u0161irdis<\/em> (Blue Whale\u2019s Heart, 2016). Her poetry has been published in <em>\u0160iaur\u0117s At\u0117nai<\/em>, <em>Kreiv\u0117s<\/em> magazine, and Poetry Spring anthologies. She published her second book <em>Takeliai \u017eol\u0117je<\/em> (Tracks in the grass) in 2022, which was listed by the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore among the Top 12 Most Creative Books of 2022 and the Top 5 Poetry Books of 2022.<\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dovil\u0117 Bagdonait\u0117 gim\u0117 1991 m.
