She studied Lithuanian literature at Vilnius University. She has worked in a bookstore, LRT television, has written essays for the radio (<em>The Little Studio<\/em>), and co-authored numerous publications. Since 2011, she has worked in the weekly cultural paper <em>\u0160iaur\u0117s At\u0117nai<\/em> of which she is now editor-in-chief. She is known as a poet, essayist and critic. While at the Lithuanian Institute of Literature and Folklore, she unsuccessfully tried to write a dissertation on the parallels between the life and work of the Lithuanian classic author Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas. Her first book, <em>Bye-Bye School!<\/em>, (2001) was prose, her second <em>Hetaera Songs<\/em>, (2008) was poetry and won the Young Jotvingian Prize. Kazlauskait\u0117\u2019s third book, <em>Postils<\/em> (2009), written together with Father Julius Sasnauskas, presents commentary on the gospels. Three more poetry collections followed: <em>Las Meninas<\/em> (2014, Jurga Ivanauskait\u0117 Prize, finalist for poetry book of the year).  <em>Singerstraum<\/em> (2016, Writer\u2019s Union Prize, Most Creative Book of the Year Award) and <em>Amber Room<\/em> (2018). Her poems have been translated onto English, French, German, Russian, Polish, Belarusian, Latvian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Spanish and Hungarian.
