She studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and the Central European University in Budapest. Since 1996, she has been an instructor at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.  She has worked for the cultural publications <em>7 meno dienos<\/em> and<em> Literatu\u0304ra ir menas<\/em>. Kreivyt\u0117 published two books of poetry: <em>Sappho\u2019s purgatory<\/em> (2013) and <em>Arithmetic of closeness<\/em> (2019); she also prepared collections of the work of artists K\u0119stutis Zapkus and Marija Teres\u0117 Ro\u017eanskait\u0117. She has curated over 50 exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, including the Lithuanian pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale and the permanent XX-XXI century exposition at the National Gallery of Art in Vilnius. Kreivyt\u0117 creates poetic performances and participates in exhibitions with the group <em>Coolt\u016brist\u0117s<\/em>. She has also translated into Lithuanian the poems of Adrienne Rich, Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, and Elizabeth Bishop.<\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Laima Kreivyt\u0117 gim\u0117 1972 m.
