He received a BA in history and MA in religious studies from Vilnius University. He has worked in various archives and at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania Museum, and is now a librarian at the Vilnius University Library Manuscripts Department. Petrulis has published two collections of poetry: <em>Cacophonous Snake<\/em> (2017, finalist for most creative book and poetry book of the year), <em>Sterile<\/em> (2020, finalist for most creative book). A selection of his work was published in Ukraine: <em>Footnote on a Dead God<\/em> (tr. Jurij Zavadskyj and Marius Burokas).
