She is a poet, playwright, translator, and author of three screenplays. Her first poetry collection <em>\u017dem\u0117 k\u0117l\u0117 \u017eol\u0119<\/em> (The Ground Lifted the Grass) was published in 1961, when the author was a first year at Vilnius University. Since then, Pal\u010dinskait\u0117 has published about 30 books of various genres. The author devotes most of her works to children\u2019s and youth literature. Her two recently published autobiographical memoirs with poems from various collections, <em>Atminties babilonai<\/em> (Babylons of Memory) and <em>Paslapties babilonai<\/em> (Babylons of Secret), have aroused a great deal of interest among readers.
