He was the compiler of the antology <em>Latvie\u0161u\/krievu dzeja. Latvie\u0161u dzejnieku krievu valod\u0101 rakst\u012bti dzejo\u013ci<\/em> (Latvian\/Russian poetry. Poems in Russian written by Latvian poets) and co-editor (together with Art\u016brs Punte) of the anthology <em>\u0421\u043e\u0432\u0440\u0435\u043c\u0435\u043d\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0440\u0443\u0441\u0441\u043a\u0430\u044f \u043f\u043e\u044d\u0437\u0438\u044f \u041b\u0430\u0442\u0432\u0438\u0438. 1985 \u2013 2005<\/em> (Contemporary Russian Poetry in Latvia: 1985 \u2013 2005). Khanin's poems have been translated into English, German, Italian, Czech, and Ukrainian as well as several other languages.
