Krystyna D\u0105browska (b. 1979) is a poet, translator, and essayist. She graduated from the Graphics Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is the author of the poetry books Biuro podr\u00f3\u017cy<\/em> (Travel Agency, 2006), Bia\u0142e krzes\u0142a<\/em> (White Chairs, 2012), Czas i przes\u0142ona<\/em> (Time and Aperture, 2014). Her second collection won the Ko\u015bcielski Award (2013) and the Wis\u0142awa Szymborska Award (2013). Her poems have been translated into English, German, Italian (La faccia del mio vicino<\/em>, Valigie Rosse 2017), Spanish, Russian, Swedish, Greek, French, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Chinese. Her translations include the poetry of W. C. Williams, W. B. Yeats, Thomas Hardy, Thom Gunn, Charles Simic, Kim Moore, as well as selected letters of Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell. She also translated two early satires of Jonathan Swift (The Battle of the Books; A Tale of a Tub<\/em>, 2013) and The Thirteen Petalled Rose: A Discourse on the Essence of Jewish Existence and Belief<\/em> by Adin Steinsaltz (2014).
