18.00 Presentation of the Druskininkai Poetic Fall Almanach. Hosted by Marius Burokas and Rimas Užgiris.

20.00 Readings of Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian poets. Mūza café-gallery.

 

 

October 4, Friday

11.00 Participant registration. Druskininkai, Dainava center, Širdelė café, Bubilas Hall, 16 Maironio Street.
11.00-13.00 Creative activities for children organized by Vaikų žemė. Dainava Center, Saulė Hall.
13.45 Opening of the festival. The Druskininkai Poetic Fall flag raising ceremony near the Širdelė café.
14.00 “Who writes my poem?” – a discussion moderated by Lina Buividavičiūtė. Aušrinė Hall.
16.00 Coffee break. Ugnė Žilytė’s drawing exhibition “The Drawn Poet” will be presented by Gytis Norvilas. Lobby of the Aušrinė Hall.
16.15 Opening of “Toasts,” an exhibition by poet and photographer Darius Jurevičius. Dainava center, lobby of Saulė Hall.
16.30 A presentation of books published over the past year. Hosted by Giedrė Kazlauskaitė. Dainava center, Saulė Hall. The publishing houses will be presenting and selling their books.
19.00 Poetry evening hosted by Greta Ambrazaitė and Dominykas Norkūnas. Dainava center, Aušrinė Hall. 12.30 Opening of “On the Altar of Poetry”, an exhibition by Irena Mikuličiūtė-Mika. V. K. Jonynas galery, Turistų g. 9, Druskininkai
14.00 Readings featuring poets from the project VERSOPOLIS, part of the EU program “Creative Europe.” Hosted by Rūta Elijošaitytė-Kaikarė. Širdelė café, Bubilas Hall. Featured poets: Monika Herceg (Croatia), Natalia Malek (Poland), Jacob Polley (The United Kingdom), Nyk de Vries (The Netherlands).
16.00 “Will There Be a Title?” – readings of Lithuanian poets hosted by Marius Burokas and Lina Buividavičiūtė. Širdelė café, Bubilas Hall. Featured poets: Alis Balbierius, Tomas S. Butkus, Rima Juškūnė, Elena Karnauskaitė, Zita Mažeikaitė, Lukas Miknevičius, Viktoras Rudžianskas, Enrika Striogaitė, Rimas Užgiris.
19.00 Festivities and closing poetry evening. Award ceremony of the Yotvingian and Young Yotvingian Prizes. Award ceremony of “Poetry Unites Us and Connects Us,” a prize established by the journal Nemunas. Award ceremony of the Tropo prize by the forum “Nordic Summer.” Bestowal of awards on the contests’ laureates. Hosted by Agnė Žagrakalytė and Edgaras Platelis. Dainava center, Aušrinė Hall. October 6, Sunday

11.00 Bus carrying the festival participants to Vilnius departing from the Dainava center. A scheduled stop will be made in Merkinė to pay respects to poet Stasys Stacevičius.
18.00 An evening of poetry and jazz. Poetry read by the festival laureates, guests, and VERSOPOLIS poets. Music: Dmitrij Golovanov and Veronnika Chi Chi. Hosted by Indrė Valantinaitė and Rimas Užgiris. Contemporary Art Center Reading Room, 2 Vokiečių Street, Vilnius.

 

 

October 7, Monday

18.00 Readings dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Alfonas Nyka-Niliūnas’s birth. Mint Vinetu bookstore, 16 Šv. Ignoto Street, Vilnius.

 

 

Anonymous contests and registering for the readings

Single poem contest;

Single poem contest under the topic “Not My Poem” – the poem must be written in another poet’s style and signed under their name;

Humorous poem contest under the topic “A Poem Parody of a Style” (social realism, The Four Winds, neoromanticism, etc.).

Poets wishing to register as participants of Saturday’s readings must refer to Dainius Gintalas and Ričardas Šileika.
