Marcin Mokry (Poland)

Marcin Mokry was born in 1980 in Gliwice. He studied at the Silesian University of Technology (Politechnika Śląska). He graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Silesia in Katowice and taught ethics at an evangelical school. Mokry is one of the founders of the cultural societal project Dings, with which he participated in the LA Art Book Fair. He is also the literary coordinator of the alternative cultural festival Slot Art. Marcin Mokry is the author of three experimental poetry books: czytanie. Pisma (reading. Writings, 2017, awarded 3rd place at the Jacek Bierezin Contest), Świergot (Warbling, 2019, nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize), and żywe linie nowe usta (live lines new lips, 2022). Marcin Mokry was a nominee for the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Prize. He currently lives in the village of Rachelany near the Polish-Lithuanian border.
