Austėja Jakas (Lithuania)

Austėja Jakas was born in 1994 in Vilnius. She graduated with a degree in graphic design. Her poems have been published in various cultural publications, and have been translated into English for the Vilnius Review. She participated in Poetry Spring, Autumn Readings, MO Museum Readings, and the Runokuu Literature Festival (Helsinki). Her debut poetry collection, Mėlynieji malonumai (Blue Pleasures), published in the summer of 2024, was included as a finalist in the Book of the Year selection and in the top twelve most creative books as selected by the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore. She currently lives and works in Austria.
