Benediktas Januševičius (Lithuania)
Benediktas Januševičius was born in 1973 in Vilnius. He edited the magazine Jaunimo gretos and worked on the weekly Literatūra ir menas and the monthly newspaper Metai. He collaborated with the Vilnius Teachers’ House in organizing literary readings, was one of the organizers of the festival Literatūrinė sostinės žiema (2001–2004), and compiled its anthology. In 2002, together with Darius Pocevičius, he founded and administered the website tekstai.lt. He has organized exhibitions of visual poetry. He photographs and films cultural events, develops the website Tekstai TV, and translates contemporary Ukrainian poetry. He is the author of nine poetry collections. In 2007, he received the Young Yotvingian Prize for the books 0+6: eilėraščiai-daiktai (0+6: poems-objects, 2006) and Raugintu krauju (Pickled Blood, 2007). His work has been translated into English, Latvian, Russian, Polish, Belarusian, Slovenian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Devynių poezijos rinkinių autorius. 2007 m. už knygas „0+6: eilėraščiai-daiktai“ (2006) ir „Raugintu krauju“ (2007) apdovanotas Jaunojo jotvingio premija. Kūrybos išversta į anglų, latvių, rusų, lenkų, baltarusių, slovėnų, portugalų ir ispanų kalbas.
