Līva Marta Roze (Latvia)

Līva Marta Roze was born in 1998 in Riga and grew up in the countryside near the Pededze River. She studied biology at the University of Latvia in Riga and cultural and arts studies at the Latvian Academy of Culture. Since 2020, her poetry and critical articles have appeared in the Latvian press. Her debut poetry collection, Struktūra (Structure, 2024), received the Ojārs Vācietis Prize and was nominated for the Latvian Literature Annual Award (LALIGABA) for Best Debut. Photo by Dirk Skiba
