Mindaugas Nastaravičius (Lithuania)
Mindaugas Nastaravičius was born in 1984 in Marijampolis, Vilnius District. He studied journalism at Vilnius University and literary studies at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. He has published the poetry collections Dėmėtų akių (Stained Eyes, 2010), Mo (2014, winner of the Young Yotvingian Prize), Bendratis (Infinitive, 2018, winner of the Jurga Ivanauskaitė Prize and Lithuanian Writers’ Union Prize), and Antra dalis (Part Two, 2024) which won the Poetry Spring Prize. In 2015, he received the Golden Stage Cross for the plays Demokratija (Democracy) and Man netinka tavo kostiumas (Your Suit Doesn’t Suit Me).
Since 2006, he has worked at the Lithuanian National Radio and Television, hosting programs on literature and writing scripts for cultural events. As a playwright, he collaborates with theater directors of different generations. He writes plays and adaptations of classical work. In recent years he has worked primarily with the State Youth Theater and the Lithuanian National Drama Theater.
