Carmen Camacho (Spain)

Carmen Camacho was born in 1976 in Alcaudete (province of Jaén, Andalusia). She graduated with a degree in journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is the author of ten books of poetry and a collection of aphorisms. In 2011, she won the Fernando Quiñones Prize for Latin American Literature. She has edited several poetry anthologies. She also writes short fiction, spoken word poetry, and organizes stage performances and projects with musicians, artists, and photographers. She regularly writes journalism for newspapers and online portals. She lives in Seville.
